The President Nana Akufo Addo, today Sunday is scheduled to travel to Lisbon, Portugal for an 2022 UN Ocean Conference.

According to a communique from the Presidency, Akufo Addo will travel in a Presidential Jet.

The President’s trip in a Presidential Jet comes after Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa categorically accused Akufo Addo of spending €480,000 on trips to Belgium and Rwanda.

The Presidency subsequently released a communique to refute claims made by the Member of Parliament for North Tongu.

The President is expected to return to the country on Wednesday, 29 June 2022.
