The Black Stars announced their presence in the 2023 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign in style following an emphatic 3-0 win over Madagascar in Cape Coast on Wednesday night.
Goals from AS Roma prodigy Felix Afena-Gyan, Kudus and Substitute Osman Bukari helped the Senior National team to a convincing victory in the Group E of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign.
Ghana could have won the game by a wider margin as Kudus scored in the 68th minute but was flagged offside by the match official.
By virtue of the win, the Black Stars go top of Group E with a better goal difference, followed by Angola who defeated Central Africa Republic 2-1 in the group’s other game earlier in the day.
Ghana will travel to play the Central African Republic in four days time while Madagascar host Angola in the group’s other game.
