Mohammed Kudus

Black stars playmakers Mohammed Kudus has clinched his second Dutch Eredivisie title with Ajax Amsterdam thanks to a 5-0 win over Heerenveen in the Johan Cruijff Arena on Wednesday night.

This was the Ajax side’ 36th league title in the Dutch Eredivisie division.

Nicolas Tagliafico opened the scoring in the 19th minute after a swift team move before Steven Berghuis doubled the lead. In the 38th minute, Sebastien Haller was fouled in the box and he scored the resulting penalty.

In the second half, Ajax cruised to victory and they eventually added a fourth through Brian Brobbey and a late fifth was scored by Edson Alvarez.

Kudus was a 68th minute substitute in the game after replacing Davy Klaassen in the second half.

He has made 22 appearances and scored one goal for Ajax Amsterdam this season so far after recovering from a long injury lay-off.

The former FC Nordsjaelland star has now won back to back Eredivisie trophies and Dutch FA Cup since joining the Dutch champions in 2020.
