Black Stars

The Confederation of African Football has approved the Cape Coast Stadium for Ghana’s 2023 AFCON Qualifiers against Madagascar.

The decision by CAF comes after a stadium assessment and inspection process was successfully conducted by CAF.

A formal notification by the Ghana Football Association had also been given a couple of weeks ago.

Caf’s decision was contained in a letter signed by CAF Development Officer, Raul Chipenda and sent to GFA’s General Secretary, Prosper Harrison Addo (Esq.) on Sunday, May 1, 2022.

Ghana have been placed in Group E of the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations, Côte d’Ivoire 2023 alongside Madagascar, Angola and Central African Rep.

The Senior National team will use these matches as a preparatory ground for the World Cup, Qatar 2022.
