The Black stars of Ghana will welcome Madagascar in the opening game of the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations, Côte d’Ivoire 2023 Qualifiers at home.

According to the Confederation African Football (CAF), Match Day 1 and 2 is scheduled for May 30- July 14 2022. Two qualifying matches will be played in the May –July window with Match Day 3 and 4 set for September 19-27, 2022. The final round of matches have been fixed for 20-28 March 2023.

Ghana have been placed in Group E of the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations, Côte d’Ivoire 2023 alongside Madagascar, Angola and Central African Rep.

The Senior National team will use these matches as a preparatory ground for the World Cup, Qatar 2022.

The four times AFCON Winners recently made a disastrous outing in the Cameroon 2022 AFCON following a first round exit from the competition. Defeats to lowly Comoros and Morocco meant the Stars had to take an early shower from the tournament.
