Accra Hearts of Oak gaffer, Coach Samuel Boadu has blamed poor refereeing decision by Ken Paddy as a reason to his sides loss against archrivals Asante Kotoko in the Super Clash on Sunday.
The Porcupine Warriors defeated the Rainbow club 1-0 in the matchday 24 fixture at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
Kotoko got the decisive goal through a penalty scored by Mbella Etouga after referee Ken Paddy adjudged Hearts defensive midfielder, Abdul Nurudeen to have fouled Kotoko’s Fabio Gama in the box.
Boadu in a post match interview lamented the call by the Official.
“Some decisions are not fair. We all want Ghana football to improve and get better. So when some decisions like that [penalty call] are made it’s not the best.
”Maybe I’d have to look at replays again to see if the referee was right, but it’s painful when a big game is decided in this manner,” he said.
The Phobians now hold the sixth spot on the League log with 17 points after matchday 24 fixture.
