Women’s U17 FIFA World Cup qualifiers: Black Maidens train ahead of Senegal test

Ghana’s Black Maidens trained at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday to continue their preparation ahead of Sunday’s FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Young Teranga Lionesses of Senegal.

Coach Baba Nuhu’s side has been training at the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence at Prampram since they returned from Senegal where they won 1-0 at the Stad Lat Dior in Thies.

Ghana boosted their chances of progressing to the next round with a 1-0 victory over Senegal in the first leg of the second qualifying round for the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup, India 2022 in Thies.

Ghana have been to six World Cup competitions since its inception in 2008 having finished third in Azerbaijan in 2012.

The Black Maidens will host their Senegalese counterparts on Sunday, March 20 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Kick off is at 3pm GMT.
