The Black Princesses head coach, Ben Fokuo has stated that his team is in buoyant mood ahead of the second leg encounter of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier against Uganda on Saturday.
The Princesses have yet to lose a game in the qualifiers having gone three matches without defeat. Ghana drew goalless with Zambia and beat them 1-0 in the 2nd leg at home during the first round of qualifiers.
The Female U20 side gained an advantage with away win over Uganda in Kitende in the the final round of the qualifiers for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Costa Rica 2022.
“We have been preparing hard since we came to Cape Coast. We had a training match against Combined Forces and you can clearly tell that the girls are ready for the task ahead” Ben Fokuo told ghanafa.org
“We missed our skipper, Evelyn Badu in the first leg but she is back for the return fixture. The team is poised for action and I believe in them to get all maximum points” he added.
Kick off is scheduled at 3pm at the Cape Coast sports stadium on February 5, 2022.
Ghana are chasing a record sixth straight FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup participation. The Black Princesses made their first World Cup appearance in 2010 and have gone ahead to play in four tournaments on the spin. (2010, 2012,2014, 2016, 2018).
