A Nigerian named Hakimi was shot dead after he allegedly stabbed some police officers at the Kwabenya Hills Valley police station on duty on Friday.
According to a post on the Ghana Police Service social media page, the suspect stormed the Kwabenya Hills Valley police station with a knife and stabbed the officers after a matter involving him was reported at the station.
Sensing that the lives of the Station Officer, the investigator and the three victims were in immediate danger, the police shot and killed the suspect.
While the injured officers are responding to treatment at the Police Hospital, the body of the deceased has been deposited at the Hospital’s morgue for preservation.
Subsequently, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Dr George Akuffo Dampare, visited the station to encourage officers.
