Black Princesses coach upbeat ahead of Zambia test

Ghana’s U-20 Women’s national team the Black Princesses trained at the Sunset stadium ahead of their FIFA Women’s U-20 World Cup qualifier against Zambia on Saturday.

Coach Ben Fokuo had a full complement of his team for the training session which lasted for one hour.

‘’We had series of matches in Ghana before coming and with this afternoon’s training session, I am impressed with my teams fitness level. Coach Fokuo told GFA.org reporter.

‘’They (players) are poised for victory and I know on Saturday, they will win convincingly and make themselves and Ghana proud” he added.

The Black Princesses advanced to the third stage of the African U20 Women’s World Cup qualification following Mauritania’s withdrawal from the qualifiers.

The 1st leg is scheduled for Lusaka on Saturday, December 5, 2021 with the reverse fixture slated for Accra in two weeks time.

Ghana are chasing a record sixth straight FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup participation. The Black Princesses made their first World Cup appearance in 2010 and have gone ahead to play in four tournaments on the spin. (2010, 2012,2014, 2016, 2018).
