MTN FA Cup Preliminary round kicks off Tuesday, November 30

The Ghana Football Association has revealed that the 2020/21 MTN FA Cup season will kick start on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 across the country.

Matches will be played from Tuesday through to Thursday, December 02, 2021. 48 Division One Clubs and 44 Division Two clubs across the country will play at this stage of the competition. The 18 Premier League clubs will join the winners of the preliminary stage for the Round of 64.

Accra Hearts of Oak are current champions after after edging over Ashanti Gold 8-7 on penalties in the final of the FA cup last season.

A total of 48 Division One Clubs and 44 Division Two clubs across the country will play at this stage of the competition.

The clubs have been grouped into their respective region to reduce travelling time, cost and facilitate more local derbies for the Preliminary Stage.

The Winners of this preliminary round will join the 18 Premier League clubs for the round of 64.

The Phobians are most successful club in the history of the competition, Hearts have now established themselves as Ghana’s FA Cup kings, having made it 11 titles now, one more than arch-rivals Kotoko.
