Kumasi Asanti Kotoko once again proved their title credentials following their hard-fought win against Bechem United in their first game in Kumasi since 2020.
The Fabulous boys marked their return to home action in Kumasi with three points after an 85th-minute spot-kick from skipper Abdul-Ganiyu Ismail before Samuel Boateng sealed the game with a beautiful header in the 90th minute.
Kotoko have now made it two wins in two league matches so far this season, both triumphs secured by late goals after they similarly beat Dreams FC 3-1 on the opening day away.
The Porcupine Warriors have taken over the top spot on the league table, sitting above King Faisal only due to a better goal difference
