Hasaacas Ladies Head coach, Yussif Basigi has called on his charges to put behind their opening day emphatic win and focus on AS Mande.
After winning their WAFU-B qualification series, Hasaacas came to Cairo in confidence that they can achieve more. They proved so in their opening game, where they defeated Equatorial Guinea Malabo Kings 3-1 to go joint top of the group with hosts Wadi Degla.
Now, the Ghanaians need one more win to reach the semifinals and continue their fairytale dream of being the first ever African women’s club champions.
Despite the win Coach Basigi has tasked his side to remain focused and produce another sterling performance ahead of their clash with AS Mande.
“We won our first game and it’s over. It’s behind us. AS Mande is a very good side that we cannot underestimate.
“They have a good midfield, maybe needs a bit of organizing in the defense. Their second half game is very strong as well.
“For them losing their second game would hurt them, so they’ll give us a hard game. This is why we will do everything we can to pass this test” Veteran coach Basigi said.
The Group A Matchday 2 of the ongoing maiden CAF Women’s Champions League, Egypt 2021 between Ghana’s Hasaacas Ladies and AS Mande is scheduled on Monday, 19:00 Cairo time (17:00 GMT)
