Hearts of Oak

Ghana Premier League defending champions, Accra Hearts of Oak endured a frustrating afternoon following a goalless draw at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The Rainbow club dominated Legon Cities, yet failed to go pass goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi, who was in formidable form for the away side.

The Legon Cities newly signed goalkeeper delivered a man of the match performance as the former Yellow and Mauves star made an impressive six saves.

Coach Samuel Boadu’s side saw the ball cleared off the line twice in the first half and Ibrahim Salifu struck the cross bar with a brilliant free-kick in the second half.

Maxwell Konadu’s side came close to snatching the winner in the dying seconds but goalkeeper Richard Attah saved the Phobians.

Hearts will travel to Sogakope next, as WAFA awaits them in Matchday 2 of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League.
