Self-acclaimed Bishop Stephen Akwasi, popularly known as ‘Jesus Ahuofe’ who prophesied the murder of Shatta Wale has been arrested by the Police.
The arrest comes after Monday evening’s widespread reports that Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale had been shot by unknown gunmen, a report which turned out to be false.
The reports claimed Shatta escaped after the gun shot but was battling for his life at a health facility.
The police subsequently released a statement indicating that, its team went to Shatta’s house and a number of health facilities but could not find him.
The founder and leader of New Life Kingdom Chapel International, is reported to have been arrested at the premises of Accra FM while preparing for an interview on the station’s mid-morning show.
‘Jesus Ahuofe’ prophesied the murder of Shatta Wale on Monday, October 18, 2021, by armed robbers.
The Prophet claimed “a big calamity will befall Ghana, Ghanaians should pray for our musicians, especially dancehall music performers. I saw in my vision that one had lost his life”.
He mentioned the first name of Shatta Wale and warned that he should seek the face of God otherwise he can’t escape his untimely death.
Meanwhile, Shatta Wale in a lengthy Facebook post, has rendered an unqualified apology to his fans and people who were affected by the hoax.
Charles Nii Armah added that he was surprised that the security services could not give him protection following the prophecy.
