Black Stars management committee member, Fred Pappoe has disclosed that Milovan Rajevac’s second stint will positively affect the entire squad.
The Serbian tactician has been handed his second Ghana opportunity after the dismissal of CK Akonnor.
Milovan signed a one year contract with an option for a further year if he qualifies the Black Stars to the World Cup. He will earn $30,000 every month.
The 67 years old has already had a coaching spell with Ghana, having led the nation to the final of the 2009 African Nations Championship, the final of the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations and the quarter-final of the 2010 World Cup.
He will be assisted by Otto Addo who will combine this with the assistant coaching role at Dortmund, and Maxwell Konadu.
Assessing the performance of Milo’s first stint with Ghana, the former GFA Vice President said Rajevac’s tendency to lead by example is crucial for success.
”This is an opportunity to work with a coach who has done it before and worked diligently.
“Not just in terms of results but the way he applied himself to the job.
“His work ethic, his attitude, commitment and determination I believe are very important ingredients that the Black Stars need at this moment.
That’s what excites me about his reappointment,” he told Citi Sports
The ex Thailand Boss, immediate assignment is next month’s double header against Zimbabwe. Ghana will take on the Warriors in Cape Coast on Saturday, October 9, before departing for the return leg in Harare three days later.
