Milovan Rajevac meets MOYS Minister Mustapha Ussif

Newly appointed Black stars head coach, Milovan Rajevac on Friday met the Minister of Youth and Sports Mustapha Ussif in Accra for an official introduction.

The Serbian tactician was part of a delegation led by President of the Ghana Football Association Kurt Edwin Simeon Okraku.

Others included Vice President Mark Addo, General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo, Deputy General Secretary Alex Asante, Fred Pappoe, Black Stars Management Committee Member, George Amoako – Black Stars Management Committee Chairman, Technical Director Bernhard Lippert and the Director of Communications Henry Asante Twum.

Assistant Coach of the Black Stars Maxwell Konadu and Goalkeepers trainer Richard Kingston were also part of the delegation. The team was received by Youth and Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif, his Deputy, Evans Opoku-Bobie and Chief Director, Alhaji Hafiz Adam.

The 67-year-old was named Black stars head coach in his second stint on Friday at the GFA headquarters.

Rajevac has already had a coaching spell with Ghana, having led the nation to the final of the 2009 African Nations Championship, the final of the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations and the quarter-final of the 2010 World Cup.

He will be assisted by Otto Addo who will combine this with the assistant coaching role at Dortmund, and Maxwell Konadu.

Richard Kingson has also been reappointed as the new goalkeepers’ trainer.

The former Thailand Boss, has been handed a one-year deal with an option for a further year if he qualifies the Black Stars to the World Cup. He will earn $30,000 every month.

His immediate assignment is next month’s double header against Zimbabwe. Ghana will take on the Warriors in Cape Coast on Saturday, October 9, before departing for the return leg in Harare three days later.
