Veteran Ghanaian actor Kofi Laing, popularly known as Kohwe has passed on.
According to sources he died on Thursday at his Accra residence. He was reported to have suffered from stroke and was recovering from same.
Kohwe died at the age 75.
A few weeks ago, it was reported that he had suffered a stroke and was undergoing treatment at a health facility.
Two years ago, the jovial actor spoke about his financial challenges in a passionate appeal where he urged leaders of the country and the public to support old actors who through their gifts brought laughter and eased tension in many homes.
He featured in the popular Akan Drama as well as the “Kaneshie Odorkor” TV series.
His use of the British English Language and Fante in “District Colonial Court” captivated the hearts of many Ghanaians.
