Ghana’s latest world ranking has been revealed following the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia and South Africa.
The Black stars dropped to 53rd position following a 1-0 victory over Ethiopia and a defeat to South Africa in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers which triggered the dismissal of former Coach C.K. Akunnor.
However, The Black Stars remain 7th on the African continent.
Elsewhere, Senegal remains Africa’s highest-ranked nation after climbing one spot to 20th, while Belgium are still the world’s highest-ranked football team overall, having held the top spot for more than two years now.
Ghana returns to action in October with back-to-back clashes with Zimbabwe in their next two World Cup qualifying matches.
