Ghana’s triple jumper Nadia Eke has failed to progress into the next round of the Women’s Triple Jump event at the ongoing 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
The 28-years-old Ghanaian who was making her debut at the games, failed in three attempts in the triple jump event.
Despite her failure to progress to the next round, Nadia Eke remains one of Ghana’s brightest stars in track and field.
Nadia joins five fellow Ghanaian athletes to exit the games at the preliminary stage following earlier exits for boxer Shakul Samed, and swimmers Abeiku Jackson and Unilez Takyi, and judoka Kwadjo Anani.
She won silver at the 2014 African Championships and bronze at the 2015 African Games in Brazzaville, Congo as well as gold at the 2016 African Championships in Durban, South Africa.
Eke is currently the Africa’s triple jump champion.
