Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder Ibrahim Salifu has been named as the player of the month for May in the Ghana Premier League.
The Unistar Academy product scooped the award after seeing off challenge from Sam Adams and Abdul Ismail Ganiyu after an impressive start to life at Hearts of Oak.
The former Eleven Wonders star, in the Month of May, won two Man of the Match awards and scored once, helping Hearts of Oak to climb to the top of the table.
He will receive a NASCO Television set and a personalized trophy.
Joining Salifu is his manager, Samuel Boadu who has been awarded the prize of the Ghana Premier League manager of the month for May after leading Hearts of Oak to top spot.
Boadu beats off competition from Mariano Barreto, Prosper Narteh-Ogum and Yaw Preko.
In the month of May, Coach Boadu guided Hearts to five Premier League games wins and a loss scoring eight and conceding two, a run of form that saw the Phobians jump from fifth to first in the Premier League table.
The former Medeama SC gaffer walks home with a 43 inch NASCO Television set, a NASCO Men’s grooming set and a personalized trophy from electronic partner NASCO electronics.
