GIZ project to hold second Agribusiness Fair in Upper West

The Market Oriented Agricultural Programme in North West Ghana (MOAP NW), is to hold its second Agribusiness Fair and Conference in the Upper West Region on Wednesday, 19th to Thursday, 20th May, 2021.

MOAP NW is a German Development Organization (GIZ) Project, financed by the European Union (EU) and the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

MOAP NW is therefore collaborating with the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA) and the Upper West Regional Coordinating Council to organize the event on the theme: “Boosting the Agribusiness Potential in North Western Ghana”.

The event aims at bringing together participants, exhibitors and other key stakeholders in Agribusiness to deliberate on pertinent issues in Agriculture as well as showcase products and services in the sector.

The event opens on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 with a moderated conference to discuss thematic areas crucial for expanding the agricultural potential of the region; Climate Change, Digitalization and Women Empowerment.

This will be followed by a grand exhibition to showcase agricultural innovations, technology and products as well as promote B2B networking among Agribusiness industry players and relevant stakeholders.

In adherence to the COVID-19 protocols, the conference hall will accommodate 50 participants in-person whilst the majority will join virtually via Microsoft Teams as well as Facebook Live sessions through GIZ Ghana and the EU Delegation to Ghana social media handles.

In-person participants including; the media would have the opportunity to tour the exhibition booths after the conference.
