The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association has imposed a fine and suspended suspensions on four players of Elmina Sharks FC.
The four players of the Elmina based outfit misconducted themselves in their home game against Medeama SC at the Nduom Stadium in Elmina on February 21, 2021.
The suspended players are Samuel Arthur, Justice Mensah, Emmanuel Gustav Addington and Alhaji Mustapha.
According to GFA Disciplinary Committee, the players have each been handed more than a season-long suspension for verbally and physically attacking referee Eric Owusu Prempeh after their loss on home soil.
Striker Justice Mensah has been fined a sum of Ghc5,000 and has been suspended for 29 games while midfielder Emmanuel Gustav Addington has also been slapped with a GHc5,000 fine and a 29 match suspension.
Defender Samuel Arthur has been suspended for 39 games and will also have to pay a fine of GHc5,000, with winger Alhaji Mustapha also receiving a 29 match suspension and a fine of GHc5,000.
Elmina Sharks are placed 13th on the GPL Standings with 26 points after match week 21.
