Ben Nunoo Mensah has been re-elected as the President for the Ghana Olympic Committee at the GOC elective congress held at the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences in Accra.
Nunoo-Mensah gathered 35 of the 63 votes cast to beat Former General Secretary, Richard Akpokavie who managed only 28 votes.
Mr. Ben Nunoo Mensah who doubles as the Ghana Weightlifting Federation president will steer the affairs of the GOC for the next four years until 2024.
Meanwhile, Paul Atchoe, Frederick Otu Lartey and Mohammed Mahadi were voted as the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Vice Presidents respectively. Ghana FA Executive Council member Frederick Acheampong garnered 41 votes to win the GOC Treasurer position beating his competitor Christopher Essifie who had 22 votes.
