Rasheeda Adams, ex-wife of National Democratic Congress (NDC) and former Member of Parliament (MP) for Kumbungu in the Northern Region, Ras Mubarak, has accused the legislator of physical and emotional abuse regarding the break in their marriage.
In a Facebook post captured by Cedidollar.com, Rasheeda Adams advised women to leave their marriages if their partners are abusive, citing her ended marriage to Ras Mubarak, as an example.
The former Kumbungu MP, who was once Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Youth Authority (NYA) under the erstwhile Mahama’s NDC administration, on Friday later took to social media to rebut claims that he abused his former wife, Rasheeda Adams during their union.
Ras Mubarak described Rasheeda as a “bitter woman and a man-hater” who insisted that he gives her his bank details and pin codes so she can access them in case he dies.
According to him, he was shocked that his wife instead of focusing on how to grow their family was interested in having his bank details so that she can access funds from it in case he dies.
“Which correct woman would ask her husband to release his pin codes and bank details in the event he dies? Only Rasheeda Adams. If she wants to be exposed for the phony manipulator that she is, let her continue on that trajectory,”
The issue about marital abuse escalated after a businessman, Prince Charles Dedjoe was charged with murder by police prosecutors for allegedly killing his wife. The accused was married to the deceased, Lillian Dedjo and both were living at East Legon until their relationship got sour following some misunderstandings.
In another related news, A deputy director of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) Philip Caezar Kumah allegedly beat his girlfriend to death at Akatsi North in the Volta region.
According to the Volta Regional Police PRO, Sgt. Prince Dogbatse, the victim Elizabeth Yesutor, complained to her friends about the constant abuse by her lover but failed to heed to advice to report the abuses to the police.
