The Black Satellites are off  to a flying start at the 2021 U20 Africa Cup of Nations after an emphatic 4 – 0 win over Tanzania in their opening group game at the Stade Municipal Nouadhibou.

Precious Boah’s brace, Issaku Fatawu’s sensational strike and Schalke forward Josepho Barnes flicking goal was all that Ghana needed to beat Tanzania 4-0 in their opening group C game.

The three time champions wasted no time in establishing their intentions after Precious Boah’s curling freekick took a dink before beating the Tanzanian goalie for the opener after just three minutes.

Abdul Issaku Fatawu scored what could end up being the goal of the tournament, after brilliantly firing right after the center circle to make it two before half time. The Black Satellites will then go into the break with a two-goal advantage with Tanzania nowhere in the contest.

After 71 minutes, Percious Boah got his second of the game and Ghana’s 3rd. He dummied the Tanzanian defender before picking a spot and calmly placing it beyond the reach of the goalkeeper.

Joseph Barnes, making his debut in Ghana colours, put the cherry on the iced cake, extending Ghana’s lead to four before the final whistle in Nouadhibou.

The Black Satellites play Morocco next on Friday and a win will send them to the knockout phase.
