The Ghana Health Service (GHS) says it has received a health alert on the outbreak of 7 confirmed cases of Ebola virus in Guinea on 14th February,2021.
Three of the victims have died from the deadly Ebola disease.
A press release sighted by Cedidollar.com, indicates that all regions, district and health facilities are to initiate preparedness and response plans for the deadly, Ebola Virus Disease.
The early signs include fever, headache, muscle pain and chills as well as other symptoms where a person may experience internal bleeding resulting in vomiting or coughing blood.
In the light of this development, the Ministry of Health and Ghana Health Service have instituted the following measures:
The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has called on the port health units at all border posts particularly along the Western border and beaches to be cautious and revive all known preventive measures to avert any possible outbreak in Ghana.
