Ofankor Circuit Court: Judge orders Ghana Police to send Funny face toPsychiatric Hospital

An Ofankor Circuit Court presided, by his Honor Ebenezer Osei Darko has ordered Ghana Police to send comic actor, Funny Face to Accra Psychiatric Hospital for two weeks explaining that the comic actor may be having a psychological problem.

Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng, popularly known as Funny Face, was arrested by the police in Kasoa for unlawfully discharging a firearm at a drinking pub.

According to the Central Regional Police PRO, DSP Irene Serwaa Oppong “He was reported for causing a disturbance in a bar.”

She added, that their investigations reveals ”Funny Face had gone to the bar where a misunderstanding ensued between him and the owner.”

Although the two were separated, Funny Face went home, returned with a gun and fired warning shots”.
‘Funny Face’ who was recently released from police custody has been re-arrested and summoned before the Ofankor Circuit Court.

Although not clear what exactly his offense was, the comedian on February 15, 2021, shared a video of himself in handcuffs being transported to court.

The video was captioned: “Jailed again yesterday afternoon. Till dis morning. Been taken to Ofankor circuit court. GOD is in control. Funny fans spread this video. Justice for funny face.”
