Bechem United moved to the top of the Ghana Premier league log after they came from behind to defeat Regional Rivals Techiman Eleven Wonders by 3-1 in the week 11 opening fixture at the Nana Gyeabour Park in Bechem.

Samuel Boakye had put Wonders ahead after only 18 minutes of play. The Hunters had to wait till a 77th minute penalty, neatly converted by Emmanuel Owusu Boakye to draw parity.

Hafiz Konkoni shot into the trailing hand of a defender and the referee pointed to the spot. The star man Hafiz Konkoni got the icing on the cake when he picked a long pass in front of the goal area before shooting to the blind side of George Ameyaw for the second goal.

The home side pressed on for the winner and the final nail on the opponents ‘coffin’ and rightfully so got the third goal in the 90th minute when Listowel Amankwa deflected a Hafiz Konkoni header to beat Goalkeeper George Ameyaw in post.

The Hunters sit on top of GPL table with 19 points just a point above second placed Karela United who play their week 11 game on Sunday.
