The Government has acknowledged that after the performance tracker’s launch, 67 entries were inadvertently added to the list of projects that were highlighted.
The Ministry of Information tweeted its gratitude to the public for their strong interest in the tracker.
“Following the successful launch of the Performance Tracker, the Government expresses gratitude for the remarkable interest and scrutiny from citizens.
“This level of engagement demonstrates the public’s commitment to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the information provided. Within 48 hours following the launch, our attention has been drawn to 67 entries which were erroneously included,” the tweet concluded.
The government unveiled the Performance Tracker on Wednesday, April 10, with the goal of encouraging accountability and openness in the execution of infrastructure projects across the country.
Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the Minister of Works and Housing, underlined the launch’s importance in improving accountability and transparency in infrastructure projects across the nation.
He pointed out that the tracker resolves long-standing issues with project presentations’ dependability and accuracy, especially when it comes to the use of artists’ impressions to illustrate results.
In addition, the tracker currently features more than 13,000 projects across the country.
With a focus on tracking the advancement of numerous national projects, the MP for Ofoase-Ayirebi emphasized that the tracker is an improved version of the Delivery Tracker, which Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia first introduced in 2020.
