Black Queens

In preparation for the upcoming international friendly against Japan, Black Queens coach Nora Häuptle has extended an invitation to 33 players to camp in Accra.

Princess Marfo of Bay FC, Bridget Adu of Luton FC, and Mukarama Abdulai, the former FIFA U-17 World Cup Golden Boot winner, are among the players invited. Wasila Diwura Soale, Nina Norshie, Mavis Owusu, Adama Alhassan, and Victoria Osei have also been welcomed by Nora.

The game will help the Black Queens get ready for Morocco’s 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in the following year. Japan, a dominant force in women’s football, sees Ghana as a perfect opponent as they get ready for the Olympics in Paris.

On Saturday, July 13, 2024, in Tokyo’s Kanazawa Go Go Curry Stadium, this much awaited friendly is set to take place.

On Tuesday, July 2, 2024, all invited players are expected to report to camp in Accra.
