Ghana’s Female U20 team have been placed in the Group of death as they face tough opponents in Group D of the 2022 Fifa U20 Women’s World Cup billed for Costa Rica.

There will be 16 nations looking to compete for gold in the 10th edition of the global football fiesta, with plenty of ambitious teams that believe they can emulate the efforts of 2018 reigning champions Japan.

The Black Princesses will play title holders Japan, the Netherlands and USA.

Ghana secured their sixth consecutive qualification after cruising past Mauritania, Zambia, Uganda and Ethiopia.

The women’s youth competition kicks off on 10 August and the final is set for 28 August.
